The Grand Strand Optimist Club and their Board of Directors invite you to join them for the 27th Annual Installation Banquet at The Dunes Golf & Beach Club overlooking the beautiful Atlantic Ocean. Join us in celebrating the continued growth of “optimism” and its positive effects on our community!

The 15th Annual Grand Strand Optimist Golf Tournament will be held Sunday, August 21, 2011 at Burning Ridge Golf Course, 8:30 a.m. Tee Time. Proceeds from this event benefit several of our favorite charities including Help 4 Kids/Backpack Buddies, Bridgewater Academy, and the Grand Strand Optimist Club in order to support other local children’s charities.

The Bike Rodeo/Safety on Wheels will be held Saturday August 6 at the First Presbyterian Church complex on Grissom Parkway between 38th and 44th Avenues North in Myrtle Beach from 9:00 to 12:00. We will be giving out free bike helmets to all children, performing safety inspections on everyone’s bike, and setting up a bike course for the kids to ride. We will also have refreshments, door prizes and entertainment, and we will be giving away two FREE bikes.
